Description

The Capture the Flag (CTF) competition at Cybersecurity Symposiums (CSS) Indonesia 2024, taking place on 31 October at Pullman Thamrin CBD, Jakarta, is a thrilling challenge designed to test participants' cybersecurity skills in real-world scenarios. 

Competitors will face complex tasks, including identifying vulnerabilities, defending against cyber threats, and exploiting system weaknesses, all in a high-pressure, hands-on environment. 

Open to cybersecurity professionals and university students, this event offers a unique platform to demonstrate expertise, enhance technical skills, and engage with peers and industry leaders in the fast-evolving cybersecurity landscape.

The CTF will be a Jeopardy Style CTF where every player will have a list of challenges in different categories like Reverse Engineering, Web Security, Digital Forensics, Network Security, and others. 

For every challenge solved, the player will get a certain amount of points depending on the difficulty of the challenge. The players that will get the highest score at the end of the day will be the winning ones.

Conditions

This CTF is eligible for the following:

1. University students currently enrolled in a cybersecurity, computer science, or related program (undergraduate or postgraduate level).

2. Private sector employees working in cybersecurity, information technology, or related security roles.

3. Participants must have a basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, including network security, cryptography, and ethical hacking.

4. Participants are expected to bring their own laptops and necessary tools.

5. The competition is open to individual participants only (no team entries).

6. Employees of Asia Symposiums Pte Ltd and its affiliates are ineligible to participate in the competition.

Rules concerning the platform are included.

• Sharing the flags between different teams is prohibited.
• Brute Force attacks on the challenges submission portal or challenges links are not allowed.
• Any attack against the site or the hosted servers will be observed, and the player will be banned from participating in the CTF immediately.
• Organizers have the permission to disqualify teams for any unethical behavior or any trials to interrupt the CTF.
