In cooperation with Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) as a Host and Organizer, Trend Micro as strategic partner, CyberTalents is Co-organizing the first Kuwait Cyber Security Capture the Flag (CTF). Kuwait Cyber Security CTF is a Cyber Security competition where participants demonstrate their technical ability in the cyber security field. CTF competition participants includes all who is interested in Cyber Security. Kuwait Cyber Security CTF winners will represent Kuwait in the Arab Regional Cyber Security CTF Competition organized by Cyber Talents that will be held on 21st of September 2019 in Egypt. The winning team of the Arab Regional Cyber Security CTF Competition will represent the participating Arab countries at the Global Trend Micro CTF Competition 2019 in Tokyo, Japan. The CTF will be a Jeopardy Style CTF where every team will have a list of challenges in different categories like Reverse Engineering, Web Security, Digital Forensics, Network Security and others. For every challenge solved, the team will get a certain amount of points depending on the difficulty of the challenge. The team who will get the highest score at the end of the day will be the winning team. And first three teams with highest scores will be recognized by Kuwait Oil Company.
Conditions
CTF Teams
Ø Number of Team members: 2-4 members with the below conditions:
Ø At least one member of the team must be undergraduates or fresh graduates.
Ø At least one member the team must be holding the Kuwait Nationality
Ø Every Team should have a team leader, that is responsible to build the team and he will be the main contact to the organizers.
Ø Moving members between teams is allowed one day before the competition. Note: Rules are updated to allow maximum participation of interested teams.
Prizes
The three top winning teams of Kuwait Cyber Security Competition CTF will travel to Egypt ( fully covered flights and accommodation ) to represent Kuwait at Arab Regional Cyber Security Competition CTF that will be held on 22nd Of September 2019 in addition to valuable prizes from Kuwait Oil Company
