Cohort 2 - Sub Saharan Africa
Overview
After graduating hundreds of talents in 2022 from Introduction to Cybersecurity Bootcamp Cohort 1, we decided to run more cohorts this year for more talents around the world to help them get started in cybersecurity.
Starting this year with Sub-Saharan African talents where we provide a free introductory cybersecurity training program to students and fresh graduates who are looking to enhance their technical skills and get started in the information security field.
1000 free seats are offered to our talents from Sub-Saharan African countries to give them a chance to demonstrate and discover their passion for cybersecurity on CyberTalents interactive and gamified learning platform.
What will you Learn?
This training program is designed for beginners with no prior knowledge of cybersecurity to enable you to discover several cybersecurity tracks providing all required fundamentals. The program will prepare you to get started in the cybersecurity field with the necessary pre-required knowledge in each track.
The bootcamp will run for 4 weeks from 4th to 27th June. During your learning journey, the instructors will walk you through different topics including essential cybersecurity concepts and their goals, some threats and vulnerabilities, OS Security, Web Application Security, Data Encryption Techniques, and Network Security Fundamentals.
Who can Apply?
To be eligible to apply, applicants must meet the criteria below:
- Resident in any Sub-Saharan African country.
- Age between 18 - 30 years old.
- Learn CyberTalents Certified Linux Practitioner course and finalize its challenges here.
- Basic knowledge of Computer Systems.

Selecting 1000 students who met the above criteria.
4 - Bootcamps
Selected students receive acceptance emails with the details.
Certificates
Students who commit to the program, finalize the BootCamp challenges, and get good scores in the CTF assessment will receive their certificates by the end of the bootcamp.
